Abersoch Tourist Information

Abersoch - A gem of a holiday destination

Abersoch is a beautiful and popular large village seaside resort on the Southern coastline of the Llŷn Peninsula. Located within Cardigan Bay, the village is just under eleven miles from Aberdaron and three miles from Llanbedrog.

The village has a variety of small shops as well as two well-stocked grocery stores which can cater for your everyday shopping essentials, hungry visitors will also find a good range of pubs, cafes and restaurants in and around Abersoch.

Abersoch Beaches
Abersoch boasts two East facing sandy beaches, the largest and by far the most popular is Abersoch Main Beach, its sheltered position along with its golden sand makes it very popular with families, it is also an ideal spot for seasoned watersports enthusiasts, and for beginners looking to try their hand at surfing and windsurfing.

Family Holiday Cottages in Abersoch Village
Beachgoers will find Abersoch Harbour Beach is far quieter than the main beach. Harbour beach which straddles the River Soch drys up completely (apart from the river) when the tide goes out revealing a nice small sandy beach, at high tide an hour or so can be spent crabbing from the harbour wall.

Abersoch main beach provides beach huts for hire, they're centrally located and perfect for taking the hassle out of carrying everything to and from the beach.

A few miles from the village is the renowned four-mile long Porth Neigwl (Hell's Mouth) Beach, a South-westerly facing beach which offers very little shelter from the elements. However, the consistently good waves that are produced make this beach a real draw for thousands of surfers every year.

Clwb Golff Abersoch Golf Club offers visiting golfers the chance to put their skills to the test on this challenging 18-hole links and parkland course, the Club welcomes golfers of all abilities and the course comes complete with stunning views.

Being a coastal location means Abersoch has plenty of water-based activities available as well as day boat and fishing trips, there are also many enjoyable walks either along the Wales coast path or in the local area.

Once you've visited the beautiful coastal village of Abersoch you will want to return year after year
