Abersoch Tourist Information
A gem of a holiday destination

Abersoch is a beautiful and popular large village seaside resort on the Southern coastline of the Llŷn Peninsula. Located within Cardigan Bay, the village is just under eleven miles from Aberdaron and three miles from Llanbedrog.

The village has a variety of small shops as well as two well-stocked grocery stores which can cater for your everyday shopping essentials, you will also find a good range of pubs, cafes and restaurants in and around Abersoch.

Abersoch Beaches
Abersoch boasts two East facing sandy beaches, the largest and by far the most popular is Abersoch Main Beach, its sheltered position along with its golden sand makes it very popular with families, it's also an ideal spot for seasoned watersports enthusiasts, and for beginners looking to try their hand at surfing and windsurfing.

Beachgoers will find Abersoch Harbour Beach far quieter than the main beach. Harbour Beach which straddles the River Soch drys up completely (apart from the river) when the tide goes out revealing a nice small sandy beach, at high tide families can spend a few leisurely hours crabbing from the harbour wall.

A few miles from Abersoch is the renowned four-mile long Porth Neigwl (Hell's Mouth) Beach, a South-westerly facing beach which offers very little shelter from the elements, however, the consistently good waves that are produced makes this beach a real draw for thousands of surfers every year.

Abersoch Golf Club offers visiting golfers the chance to put their skills to the test on this challenging 18-hole links and parkland course, the Club welcomes golfers of all abilities and the course comes complete with stunning views.

Being a coastal location means Abersoch has plenty of water-based activities available as well as day boat and fishing trips, in addition, the Llyn Coastal Path makes its way past the village allowing for pleasurable coastal walks.
