Amlwch is a town which lies on the North-east coast of Anglesey and is infact the most Northerly town in Wales, it's located a couple of miles from the village of Llaneilian and less than six miles from Cemaes Bay.



There are a number of shops dotted around the town along with a selection of pubs and places to eat, Amlwch also holds a local market every Friday.

Once home to the largest copper mine in the world


Amlwch Port is home to The Copper Kingdom Centre that tells the story of how copper was mined from Parys Mountain (once the largest copper mine in the world) which is located South of the town, it was then transported to Amlwch Port to be processed then shipped around the world. The heritage centre houses a number of interactive displays to show the whole mining, processing and shipping procedure.
