Ammanford Tourist Information
Ammanford is an inland town which lies fairly close to the Brecon Beacons National Park, from the town it's just over an eighteen-mile drive to the county town of Carmarthen and just under a fourteen-mile drive from the counties largest town of Llanelli.

Ammanford has a good selection of independent shops along with a range of high street named retailers, the town also provides a fine choice of eateries that can cater for a quick snack on the go or a more formal sit-down meal.

The River Loughor and the River Amman both make their way past the town and both offer some good fishing, the River Loughor is particularly noted for its sea trout (sewin).
