Boncath Tourist Information
Boncath is a small tranquil, inland village which is positioned about eight miles to the West of Newcastle Emlyn.

Amenities are limited to a village shop.

To the East of the village centre lies The Cilwendeg Shell House Hermitage, an interesting curiosity, a grotto - No, not the Santa sort. Inside this unique building, you will find the walls adorned with shells and coloured glass fragments, all carefully arranged and set into patterns. The floor has also been decorated with the knucklebones of sheep and oxen. A truly bizarre place, but well worth visiting.
