Brechfa Tourist Information
A peaceful haven in the Cothi Valley

Brechfa is a small secluded village which can be found nestled in the Cothi Valley, the village lies just under thirteen miles from the county town of Carmarthen to the South West and the town of Lampeter is sixteen and a half miles away to the North.

This tranquil village has a community shop.

On the doorstep to the village and within the Cothi Valley lies the 18,000-acre Brechfa Forest, it provides an ideal destination for walkers with a range of circular walking routes available. There are three mountain bike trails in Brechfa Forest, the 'Derwen Trail', the 'Red Gorlech Trail', and the 'Black Raven Trail', between them, these three trails cater for all mountain bike skill levels.

For a more leisurely pursuit, Anglers will find the nearby River Cothi ideal for fishing for trout and sea trout (sewin).
