Caersws Tourist Information
Caersws is an inland village located just over six miles from the large town of Newtown, and roughly eight and a half miles from the small town of Llanidloes.

Caersws village has two convenience stores and a post office, a fish and chip shop and a few pubs.

The village sits on the banks of the longest river in Great Britain, the meandering River Severn, along the Caersws stretch anglers will find some good fishing for trout and grayling.

The area surrounding the village is ideal for those who enjoy being in the great outdoors. Walkers will find plenty of trails covering a wide range of distances, including the well-waymarked 224-mile long 'Severn Way National Trail' which makes its way through the village. Mountain bikers will also find a variety of trails in the area including the short but exhilarating 'Caersws Downhill Track', it's a two to four-minute blast down a steep hill taking in jumps and tight corners.
