Haverfordwest Tourist Information
Haverfordwest is a bustling town which is ideally located less than eight miles from Milford Haven to the South, and less than seven miles from Broad Haven in St Brides Bay to the West.

Haverfordwest offers an excellent range of shops to browse around, here avid shoppers will find local independent shops mixed in with nationwide high street brand retailers, the town also has plenty of pubs and eating establishments to choose from.

Although only a shell remains, Haverfordwest Castle still manages to dominate this delightful town. Even today, as visitors wander around the ruins they are still able to get a sense of how the castle would have once protected the town. Within the walls of the castle is Haverfordwest Town Museum which is run by knowledgeable volunteers, it houses various exhibitions and artefacts that depict the town's rich and interesting history.

The Western Cleddau River flows right through the middle of Haverfordwest, it's a magnificent river that's rich in flora and fauna along its banks, this makes for beautiful riverside walks, the river is also noted for its salmon, sea trout and brown trout fishing.

To the East of the town is Haverfordwest Golf Club, a pleasant 18-hole parkland course which offers stunning views of the Preseli Mountains, alternatively to the South of Haverfordwest lies Mayfield Golf Club with its splendid 9-hole woodland golf course.
