Llanfairfechan is a charming, quiet Victorian style seaside town located on the North coast, about half way between Bangor to the West and Conwy Town to the East.

Llanfairfechan is positioned at the foot of and dwarfed by the 1,423ft Penmaenmawr Mountain. The town with its range of holiday cottages lies in part at the Northern end of the Snowdonia National Park and affords some magnificent views over the Menai Straits to the Isle of Anglesey.

Llanfairfechan has excellent transport links either by bus, by road using the main A55 Expressway, or by railway, which runs alongside the A55.

Llanfairfechan has a couple of pubs and various shops which can cater for your everyday essentials, there are also a number of places to eat in the town and by the beach.

Llanfairfechan Beach and Promenade
Llanfairfechan is home to a long stretch of unspoilt beach, which is made up of stone as you head on to it, then sand further down (and a massive stretch of firm sand when the tide is out). This beach is a popular spot for fishing as well as various water based sports, it is also a good area for picking mussels and cockles.

The long promenade offers delightful views of the Menai Straits and of Anglesey, it also has some very good facilities for its visitors. The prom has a children’s playground with paddling pool, swings and a roundabout, and picnic areas. The town and indeed the promenade are renowned as being one of the best bird watching areas in North Wales, visitors to Llanfairfechan will be pleased to know there is ample free parking as well.
