Llanfairfechan Tourist Information

Llanfairfechan is a charming, quiet Victorian style seaside town located on the North coast, it lies roughly half way between Bangor to the West and Conwy Town to the East.

This quiet coastal town has a couple of pubs and various shops which can cater for your everyday essentials, there are also a number of places to eat in the town and by the beach.

Llanfairfechan is sited at the foot of Penmaenmawr Mountain, standing at an impressive 1,423ft this mighty mountain certainly dwarfs the town. Nestled partly at the Northern end of the Snowdonia National Park and by the coast, Llanfairfechan's location comes complete with some magnificent views over the Menai Strait to the Isle of Anglesey, there are also delightful views of the surrounding countryside and striking mountain landscape.

Llanfairfechan Beach and Promenade
Llanfairfechan is home to a long stretch of unspoilt beach which is made up of stone as you head on to it, then sand further down, this extends to a much larger stretch of firm sand when the tide is out. The beach is not only a real draw for families with Kiddywinks but it's also ideal for sea fishing from the shoreline as well as various water-based sports.

The long promenade offers delightful views of the Menai Straits and across to Anglesey, it also has some very good facilities. The prom has a children’s playground with paddling pool, swings and a roundabout, as well as picnic areas and two cafes. The town and indeed the promenade are renowned as being one of the best bird watching areas in North Wales.

Fancy a round of golf whilst on holiday? You will find Llanfairfechan Golf Club located on the Southern edge of the town, this parkland course is a testing neat little 9-holer and comes with superb views out to sea and inland.
