Llannerch-y-medd Tourist Information
Llannerch-y-medd is a small village which can be found nestled in the heart of Anglesey, it's positioned just under seven miles from the town of Llangefni to the South, and Cemaes Bay is just over eight miles away on Anglesey's North coast.

Not too far from the village is 'Llyn Alaw', Anglesey's largest lake. This man-made reservoir is a site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) due to its large numbers of wildfowl, the lake is also home to various other bird species along with other wildlife. Llyn Alaw is a good location for a leisurely walk around its network of pathways, it also provides an ideal setting for visitors to enjoy a picnic. This lake is considered to be one of the best trout fishing lakes in Wales with good stocks of both rainbow trout and brown trout.
