Llanrug Tourist Information
Llanrug is a fairly large inland village situated about three and a half miles from the royal town of Caernarfon to the West, with the popular village of Llanberis just over four miles away to the Southeast.

Llanrug only has a few shops and a couple of places to get something to eat, however, the nearby city of Bangor provides a whole host of shops and eateries.

Located on the edge of the village is Tyddyn Mawr Golf Club, it's a 9-hole pay-and-play golf course set on undulating parkland, the Club welcomes golfers of all abilities including those who have just started to take up the game.

The River Seiont which makes its way around the village offers some excellent fishing for salmon, sea trout (sewin) and brown trout.

The area around Llanrug offers many opportunities for walkers with a variety of trails crisscrossing the landscape, the 'Lôn Las Peris' walking and cycling route meanders its way through the village as it makes its way from Llanberis towards the town of Caernarfon, there is also the option to carry on further afield to the villages of Penisarwaun and Deiniolen. Lôn Las Peris is just one of a number of the Lonydd Glas (Recreational Routes) network, these routes have been designed to offer walkers and cyclists traffic-free locations and quiet rural pathways around Gwynedd.
