Meliden Tourist Information

Meliden is a small village located about one and a half miles inland from the popular seaside resort of Prestatyn, and about the same distance North of the village of Dyserth with its stunning waterfall.

The village is dominated by 'Graig Fawr', a limestone hill that was formerly used for mining. Owned now by the National Trust, the hill is made up of wooded slopes and limestone outcrop which is now a haven for wildlife. From the summit of Graig Fawr, there are magnificent views of Rhyl, as well as Prestatyn and Ffrith Beach.

Meliden is home to 'St Melyd Golf Club', a beautifully presented 9-hole parkland course with tree lined fairways and excellent greens. For visitors looking for somewhere to eat and drink, they will find a couple of pubs that serve food in the village.

Meliden along with neighbouring Prestatyn have together been awarded the 'Walkers are Welcome' status.
