Newcastle Emlyn Tourist Information
Newcastle Emlyn is a bustling inland town, which straddles the counties of Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire, where the River Teifi meanders through the town.

The town has a number of independent retailers and a nice selection of places to eat, as well as a few pubs serving food and local brews. The 'Adpar' part of Newcastle Emlyn lies on the Ceredigion side of the River Teifi, whilst the Carmarthenshire side of the river is home to the majority of shops and businesses.

Where the river turns back on itself, you'll find the ruins of Newcastle Emlyn Castle which is set in a beautiful park. Although there is very little of the castle remaining, you can still find very good information on the castle's history, the park also provides an ideal setting for a picnic or to enjoy a leisurely walk.
