Prestatyn Tourist Information
Prestatyn is a very popular seaside resort town located on the North coast, it lies a few short miles from the neighbouring town of Rhyl to the West.

Shopping in Prestatyn is a real delight, the town's high street offers a wonderful mix of independently owned shops along with plenty of eateries and pubs to sit, eat and relax in. For those who crave big brand names, the towns retail park has many high street retailers like M&S, New Look and River Island to name but a few.

Prestatyn is blessed with three beaches which join to make a five-mile stretch of sand, Ffrith Beach is on the Western side and joins to Rhyl, Central Beach is the most popular with holidaymakers and has pubs and cafes, amusement arcades and crazy golf close at hand. Barkby Beach joins to the Eastern side of Central Beach, however, unlike the other two beaches, swimming is not advised due to the various boats and craft using the slipway.

A town that's synonymous with walking
Prestatyn lies at the Northern end of the Clwydian Range and the Dee Valley, this provides walking enthusiasts with many beautiful walks, the town itself also forms the starting point (or ending point) for the renowned 177-mile long 'Offa's Dyke Path' National Trail.

Each year the town plays host to the 'Prestatyn & Clwydian Range Walking Festival', a 3-day event which draws in visitors of all ages from all over the UK to enjoy various free guided walks of varying distances and walking grades.

Prestatyn along with neighbouring Meliden were the first areas in Wales to be awarded the 'Walkers are Welcome' status.
