Aberporth Beaches (Dolwen & Dyffryn) in Ceredigion

There are two sheltered beaches in Aberporth, which are separated by a small rocky outcrop. Both beaches are sandy with plenty of rock pools for the kids to poke around in, and from the shore, Bottlenose dolphins can be seen frolicking in the water.

Dolwen (the Southern beach) is the most popular of the two for families, and ideal for either lounging on the sand or for a swim.

Dyffryn (the Northern beach) has a large stream trickling across it and is used more for launching various boats, as well as kayaks and canoes.

The village sits just behind the beach, with all the amenities needed for a day out.

We stayed at Tresaith Caravan Park. We have a dog and 2 teenage daughters. Every day we walked to Aberporth Beachvvia the coastal path. The sandy beach has a large dog friendly area, and the other half of the beach has no dogs, perfect for my girls to sunbathe. Lovely beach cafes and pub. Great showering facilities and toilets. Fantastic views and safe bay to swim in. Great rock pools full of crabs, etc.
