Marloes Sands Beach in Pembrokeshire

This is a beach best visited at low tide, mainly because the sea can completely envelop the beach at high tide.

Low tide reveals a mile long stretch of lovely sandiness, set against dramatic and interesting cliff formations. Kids will love this beach as there are plenty of rockpools to delve into, and rocks to clamber over.

Although Marloes Sands is a long beach, it can also offer its visitors a sense of privacy, with rock strata dividing the length of the beach up into a number of smaller 'bays'.

Heading to the Western end of Marloes Sands and a bit of a clamber over the rocks will bring you to Albion Sands, a nice little sandy beach.
