Newgale Sands Beach in Pembrokeshire

Newgale Sands beach - It's certainly popular - It's definitely big - It's possibly one of the best beaches found in Wales.

Facing West, out from St brides Bay, this is a vast 2-mile sweep of sand is back by a huge bank of pebbles. The size of this beach means it has no problem accommodating its visitors, which is just as well as it's a very popular location, particularly with the surfing crowd.

Newgale Sands has fairly consistent surf conditions, making it ideal for surfers, kayakers, windsurfers and bodyboarders. It is also a good location for beginners looking to try their hand at surfing.

If you head to the far Southern end of the beach, there's a small headland (called Maidenhall Point) with a walk-through cave, the other side of which are numerous sheltered bays and rock pools.
