Sandy Haven Beach in Pembrokeshire

A beach best visited at low tide, as it offers a wide expanse of sand nestled neatly into a secluded bay.

At low tide, there are plenty of rockpools worth allowing the kids to poke around in for a while.

For 2½ hours either side of low tide, there are stepping stones that allow you to cross the Sandy Haven Pill. However, you will need to keep an eye on the incoming tide, otherwise you will have to face a 4 mile walk back to the car park (or wait for the tide to go back out).
