Southerndown Beach (Dunraven Bay) in Vale of Glamorgan

Southerndown is a beach best visited at low tide when it reveals a nice sandy beach further down towards the sea, the top section is made up of rocks and pebbles.

Kids will find plenty of rock pools and streams to investigate on land, and the waters here are good for swimming or for brushing up on your surfing and kayaking skills.

Anglers can enjoy some excellent shoreline sea fishing for various species of fish, with Witches Point a good location for catching rays (Although waters surging over the rocks only make it a suitable location for experienced fishermen).
