Penarth Beach in Vale of Glamorgan

The top section of this beach is made up of pebbles and shingle, with low tide revealing some sand for the kids to play on.

There is a nostalgic 658-foot-long pier with a newly restored pavilion, and for anglers, the pier offers a relaxing location to cast a line out. (No fishing from the pier during June, July, and August - No permits required and no fees payable).

Just beyond the beach, there are plenty of facilities and eateries.
