This quiet rural village has a pub which serves food.

On the doorstep of Caio village within the Dolaucothi Estate is the National Trust's Dolaucothi Gold Mines, here visitors are taken on guided tours to experience the conditions of those who used to mine for gold in the Roman, Victorian and 1930s eras. Dolaucothi Gold Mines has a number of tours available as well as overground tours, visitors are also able to try their hand panning for gold.
