Carew Tourist Information
Carew is a small inland village that lies on the banks of the tidal River Carew, which comes in from the Milford Haven Waterway.

Amenities in this riverside village include a welcoming pub that serves real ales and home cooked food, any shopping requirements are taken care of in Pembroke Dock which is only a short ten-minute drive away.

Standing majestically overlooking a 23-acre millpond is Carew Castle, a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) due to its bat population and rare plants, it's also considered to be one of the most architecturally diverse castles in Wales. In addition to the castle, the site is home to the only restored Tidal Mill in Wales, although not in operation the mill is open to visitors where they will find machinery, audio commentary and family-friendly interactive displays.

Less than two and a half miles from the village is Upton Castle & Gardens, a small Norman castle that remains a private home, but with the main focus being its 35-acre listed grounds. Visitors are able to enjoy the peace and quiet as they wander around the picturesque gardens and ancient woodlands, admiring over 250 species of trees and shrubs.
