Pendine Tourist Information
Pendine is a coastal village nestled around Carmarthen Bay, located just over five miles from the town of Laugharne and about eight miles from the popular seaside resort of Saundersfoot.

The village is blessed with a number of good places to have something to eat, as well as a few pubs and a sprinkling of shops.

Pendine's coastal location means there are plenty of water-based activities on offer, these you can either try for yourself or use a reputable activity company like Morfa Bay Adventure who provide a variety of land-based and water-based activities.

A popular tourist attraction in the village is the Museum of Speed, it offers an interesting insight to the various record-breaking vehicles that raced along Pendine sands. During the summer months the famous motor car 'Babs' is on show, which was used by Parry Thomas on his fatal attempt at the land speed record in 1927.

The piece de resistance for the village is its beach, Pendine Sands is a fantastic seven-mile-long stretch of flat sand, owned by the Ministry of Defence (therefore sometimes sections are closed off to the public). At low tide the beach is almost half a mile wide, making an ideal family destination with plenty of room for everybody.
